The Trawick Prize

The Trawick Prize is an annual regional Contemporary Art Awards founded by Carol Trawick. It is a juried art competition and exhibition established in 2002. The top three winners receive $14,000 in prize money: “Best in Show” winners are awarded $10,000, second place, $2,000, and third place receives $1,000.  A “young artist”, one who is under 30 years of age at the time of submission, is sometimes recognized with a $1,000 award. The exhibition will take place this year from September 7–October 2, 2022 at Gallery B located at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E, Bethesda, MD 20814.


UN/MUTE-10002 online residency connects transatlantic strangers for three months of collaboration and critical exchange

UN/MUTE is an online residency that provides artists an opportunity for a critical exchange and collaboration while simultaneously connecting resources from the global cultural epicenter of New York City. This project is co-organized by Undercurrent and the European Union National Institutes for Culture’s New York Cluster. It went live on February 12, 2021, and will continue through May 9th, which marks Europe Day.
